Der Hintergrund von Australia Day war mir nie so ganz klar. Laut Wikipedia erinnert er an die Ankunft der First Fleet in Sydney Cove am 26. Januar 1788. Fragt man Einheimische, was am Australia Day gefeiert wird, lautet es verdächtig oft: „Der Feiertag ist nur dafür da, dass wir Bier trinken und am Strand sitzen…“ – I was never sure what the background of Australia day was. Asking Wikipedia it remembers of the First Fleet arriving at Sydney Cove on January 26 in 1788. When you ask locals you get quiet often an answer like: „This day is for people drinking beer while sitting at the beach…“

Simple life simple joy
Nach dem Besuch am Meer gesehen, fühlt es sich ganz natürlich und wundervoll menschlich an, wenn man danach in einer Kneipe zusammen mit fremden Leuten zusammensitzt und den Tag bei einem kühlen Bier ausklingen lässt. Die Gedanken lassen Revue passieren was war, der Gaumen erfreut sich an einem kühlem Hellem, der Körper spürt die Wärme der Sonne und die Augen sehen das Leuchten in den Gesichtern der Menschen. Gerade wenn es einfach ist, ist das Leben am besten. – After visiting the sea it feel so natural and wonderful human to finish the day at a bar having a cold one among people.
