Tokyo Nightlights

A city as hug as Tokyo is also in the night something special. If you are in Tokyo you should visit the skytree. This tower is with a hight of 634m it is not only 300m higher than Tokyo Tower it’s also the second highest building in the world. Besides the mall at the bottom you have also two visiting platforms here in 350 and in 450m hight. The view is impressive and sadly none of the pictures here can capture that. Another detail that was amazing was the elevator witch runs so smoothly and fast that you don’t have the feeling being inside an elevator. It reaches the first platform under one minute and that absolutely smooth no sudden break no wired feeling in you stomach.

Also impressive is the fact that the tower was constructed to absorb 50% of the energy of an earthquake. In my eyes a masterpiece of engineering.

With this my series about Japan comes to an end and I’m looking forward for my next trip to Japan.
